🎯 Serving
IntermediateStanding Float Serve
An overhand serve hit with no spin. The ball "floats" and moves unpredictably in the air, like a knuckleball — hard for passers to read.

🪜 Step by step
- Stand behind the end line, opposite foot forward, hitting arm up with elbow high (bow-and-arrow).
- Toss low (about 50 cm) and in front of the hitting shoulder, with no spin.
- Step forward with the opposite foot as you toss.
- Contact the centre-back of the ball with a firm, flat palm and a stiff wrist.
- Stop your hand after contact (short punch) — do not snap the wrist.

⚠️ Common mistakes

- Wrist snap that adds spin
- Dropping the elbow
🏋️ Drills
- Toss-only drill: toss and let the ball land on the front foot
- Serve to zone targets (1, 6, 5) on call
