What is the attack line (3-metre line)?
The attack line is drawn 3 metres from the centre line on each side (called the 10-foot line in the US). It separates the front zone from the back zone.
It matters for back-row players: to attack a ball above the net they must take off behind this line. It also limits the liberoβs overhand setting.
